Itinerary

An EgyGo travel representatives will greet and assist you at the airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private air-conditioned minivan or car to check in and rest, as many flights arrive late afternoon or at night.

Today, we will first visit the Giza Plateau, home to the iconic Pyramid of Khufu (also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the last remaining wonders of the Ancient World), the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. As you continue down, you will come across the majestic Great Sphinx, guarding the pyramids faithfully since centuries. We plan enough time for the visit, so you are able to enter the Great Pyramid, see the solar boat, learn more about the surrounding mastaba tombs, take pictures from panoramic viewpoints, or even go on a camel ride around the complex. After lunch, we will head to Saqqara Necropolis home to one of the oldest complete stone-built pyramids, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, various mastabas and the Imhotep Museum. In the evening we invite for a culinary experience: you will have the opportunity to try authentic Egyptian food.

Meals included: breakfast & lunch & dinner

Together with our Egyptologist you will discover the secrets of ancient civilizations at the Egyptian Museum. The museum houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities and artifacts. A must-see is the famous gold mask of King Tutankhamun, made of 11 kilograms of solid gold. After lunch, we head to the old city of Cairo, home to numerous Jewish, Coptic, and Islamic monuments. We will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Hanging Church as well as important mosques, such as the Amr Ibn Al-As Mosque. A visit to old Cairo is not complete without exploring the Citadel of Saladin, which is undoubtedly the highlight of medieval Cairo! We conclude our day by exploring the famous old market area, Khan El Khalili, built in the 10th century.

Today we fly to Hurghada, one of the most popular beach resort towns on the Red Sea. Some of Egypt’s best resorts lie along its coastline. An EgyGo representative will meet and greet you at the airport and help you to your hotel. With its clear, calm, and blue-green waters, Hurghada is the perfect destination for beach lovers and scuba divers. It is especially appealing to those with little experience of scuba diving. There are a variety of day trips available as well, such as a boat excursion to Giftun islan — a whole day boat trip with lots of swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing on the white sands of the island.

Note: We also offer trips to Marsa Alam, with its powdery sands that blend seamlessly into the turquoise blue of the sea. It is home to largely untouched beaches, pristine waters, and amazing marine fauna and flora. An ideal location to celebrate a honeymoon or romantic getaway!

Meals included: breakfast & dinner

Check-out will take place after breakfast, followed by a drive to Luxor, the the City of the Hundred Gates. After checking-in on the cruise, we will first visit Karnak Temple on the east bank, the second largest temple complex in the world! Enter the complex via the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes and enjoy the massive Hypostyle Hall with its dazzling columns decorated with many inscriptions and figures. Our next stop is Luxor Temple, situated in the city center. The temple was mainly built by Amenhotep III and later enhanced by Tutankhamun, Alexander the Great, and Rameses II. It has continuously been used as a place of worship. You will find remnants of a Christian church as well as a well-preserved Sufi mosque.
